Jonathon Middono Charged With Murdering His Baby Girl
A Will County grand jury returned a bill of indictment against the former Channahon resident on Wednesday.

JOLIET, IL - More than three weeks after 29-year-old Jonathon Ross Middono was arrested in connection with the death of his little baby girl, Kora, a Will County grand jury on Wednesday returned a bill of indictment bringing first-degree murder charges against the former resident of Channahon's Motel's Manor Motel.
As a result of Wednesday's grand jury indictments, Middono now faces three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery to a child and one count of aggravated domestic battery. A spokeswoman for the Will County State's Attorney, Jim Glasgow, said that Middano is accused inflicting blunt trauma to Kora, causing her to die.
The arrest of Middono occurred as a result of a joint police investigation involving the Channahon Police Department and the Crest Hill Police Department.

Earlier this month, Patch reported that Jonathan Middono, along with the mother of his child, the little baby who was only 10 weeks old, and their other child, had moved just moved from Channahon Manor Motel off Route 6 and I-55 to another area motel, the Crest Hill Inn on Plainfield Road, on May 30.
Channahon Police have said they now believe the child was harmed in Crest Hill.

Since June 3, Middono has lodged at the Will County Jail on lesser included criminal charges with the most serious offense being aggravated battery to a child. His bail was set at $2 million, and so far, he hasn't been able to post the necessary $200,000, which is 10 percent, in order to get out of his jail while awaiting trial.
