Joseph Siwek Killed A Dog In Channahon: Criminal Complaint

An arrest warrant for Siwek, who lives on Charter Oaks Court, Bartlett, has been issued.

CHANNAHON - A young man currently living in Bartlett has a felony warrant out for his arrest in Will County. He's accused of killing a Chihuahua in Channahon. Joseph A. Siwek, 22, faces two felony counts of aggravated cruel treatment of animals and one misdemeanor charge of cruel treatment of animals. The three charges were filed last week in Will County Circuit Court. The case was investigated by the Channahon Police Department, court records show.

Siwek is accused of killing a female Chihuahua by striking the dog in the head, causing it suffer and die, court records state. Siwek harmed the dog between September 24-25 and "knowingly cruelly treated an animal," court documents indicate.

The warrant for Siwek is on the file with the Will County Sheriff's Department. Court records indicate the defendant resides in the 1100 block of Charter Oaks Court in Bartlett.
