The Braidwood man is spending his 51st birthday in Will County's Jail on Wednesday.

JOLIET, IL - On Wednesday, Shane Koran spent his 51st birthday caged up behind the steel bars of the Will County Adult Detention Facility, and he may be there for a while. The Braidwood man has been charged with aggravated battery, two counts of intimidation, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The circumstances of Koran's arrest occurred back on April 26, in Braidwood, according to his complaint.
That night, Koran "around 8:30 p.m. screamed profanities through his apartment window at (a woman) at Country Place Apartments, Braidwood, in such an unreasonable manner as to alarm and disturb her and provoke a breach of the peace," the complaint states.
When several Braidwood police officers arrived to bring order to the scene, Koran "spat toward and physically kicked toward" one of the officers. The complaint states that Koran "kicked (one of the officers) in the leg using his foot."
