On Sunday, October 27, the Lightweight and Varsity Orange Chanooka Braves, lead by Head Coaches Brian Krippel and Mike Briscoe (respectively), won the Tri County Football League Super Bowl on their home field at Three Rivers School. The Lightweights enjoyed a 7-1 season and the Varsity team was undefeated for the year.
All of the boys played each and every game with great skill and teamwork and, as a result, achieved tremendous success! Both teams' coaching staffs focused players on commitment not only on the field, but off - the mark of true champions!
Many of the Varsity players have been on the same team with each other for 6 years and will continue on together as they enter high school. Congratulations have been coming in from all over including area Mayors, State Representatives, other elected officials, and even the Chicago Bears (perhaps looking towards their own future, as well!)
The Braves would like to thank all the players, cheerleaders, poms, coaches, sponsors, parents, and volunteers for another great season! Look for continued success from the Chanooka Braves!
