High School Senior Dies After Taking Ecstasy at Milwaukee Nightclub
The 18-year-old student reportedly tested positive for amphetamines and cannabinoids.

An 18-year-old Minooka High School senior died early Sunday morning after reportedly ingesting ecstasy, also known as Molly and MDMA.
Kara E. Starr was at a Milwaukee nightclub when she began having seizures at around 2 a.m Sunday, May 1. Starr told the on-site EMT she had taken the drug, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, citing a report from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner.

Starr was then taken to the Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee where she died at around 5 a.m.
According to The Herald-News, Starr tested positive for amphetamines and cannabinoids. Her death has been preliminarily ruled as accidental.

Minooka Community High School District 111 Spokesperson Dave DiLorenzo confirmed to Patch that Starr was a student at the school.
Visitation for Starr will be held between 2 and 9 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at Andrew J. Mcgann & Son Funeral Home, located at 10727 S. Pulaski Rd. in Chicago.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 6 at Most Holy Redeemer, located at 9525 S. Lawndale Ave. in Evergreen Park.
Cemetery service will held at noon at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, located at 6001 W. 111th Street in Alsip.
