Minooka Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault

A Minooka man pleaded guilty to the criminal sexual assault of a relative under age 18 in Grundy County court, State’s Attorney Jason Helland announced this week.
William Esposito, 38, was sentenced to a 7-1/2-year prison sentence and must register as a sex offender for life, according to the Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Esposito must also pay court costs of $357, a $500 sex offender fine and a $200 sexual assault fine.
According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Esposito was admitted to Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill on Sept. 16.

Esposito was arrested by Minooka police in September 2013 and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, according to the Morris Daily Herald.
