Minooka Masturbator Gets Sentenced
One of his charges was dismissed under a plea agreement with Will County State's Attorneys.

JOLIET, IL - In October 2017, a 34-year-old man from Minooka was captured by Joliet Police after police said he was masturbating while watching a female trucker who had parked her rig near I-80 and Houbolt Road. On a separate occasion, the same man was sitting inside a van in the Walmart parking lot on West Jefferson Street with his pants down and masturbating, Patch has previously reported.
Now, the criminal proceedings involving Clifton Mason are over. In March, Will County Associate Judge Ben Braun sentenced Mason to one year of conditional discharge. Mason pleaded guilty to one count of public indecency. A second charge of public indecency was dismissed under the plea, according to Will County court records.
As part of his criminal sentencing, Mason was ordered to obtain a mental health evaluation and comply with the recommendations that are set forth. He was also fined $500 by Judge Braun.

In 2017, Joliet Police revealed that Mason's first crime happened around 1 p.m. on Aug. 25 when a 33-year-old woman parked her rig in the 400 block of Olympic Boulevard, which is near I-80.

Then, a brown Jeep suddenly drove up and faced her, and "She could see he was masturbating," Joliet's deputy chief of police told Patch in October 2017, noting that the woman wrote down Mason's license plates and called police.
Then, several weeks later, Mason struck again in Joliet, according to Joliet Police. A 55-year-old woman at the Walmart on Jefferson Street saw Mason inside a van with his pants down and masturbating. That morning, Joliet Police captured Mason at the Motel 6 on McDonough Street.
According to the sentencing guidelines, Clifton Mason will be obligated to return to Judge Braun's courtroom in exactly one year, March 10, 2020, to determine whether he complied with the conditions of his conditional discharge that was imposed by the judge.
