• Chicago White Sox Fan Beat With A Chair After MLB Playoff Victory (97x.com) — A Channahon woman is accused of repeatedly striking a man with a folding chair in their home after a Chicago White Sox playoff win, seriously injuring him and prompting a 911 call from children present. Police say she admitted binge drinking, faces domestic battery and interference-with-911 charges, and was reportedly emotional and erratic during booking.

• Former Itasca, West Chicago police officers charged over alleged misuse of Flock cameras (suntimes.com) — Channahon residents should know their police department is reviewing how officers used Flock license plate cameras after a broader investigation into alleged misuse by officers in several suburbs. Former officers in Itasca and West Chicago now face felony misconduct and computer tampering charges, and other agencies, including Homer Glen and Will County, are reassessing or suspending their use of the surveillance technology.
