• Toilet Papering During Homecoming Week, Channahon Man Attacks Youth, Goes To Jail: Police (patch.com) — A Channahon homeowner was jailed after police say he struck a juvenile in the face with a blunt object during a late-night toilet-papering incident near West Quail Drive and South Valley Drive. Officers and EMS responded, parents were notified, and the man was later released from Will County Jail, while the report also recalls a similar toilet-papering confrontation in Joliet last year.

• Channahon Fire District: Giant Fire Consumes House In Hunters Crossing Subdivision (dailydispatch.com) — A pre-dawn fire destroyed a family's home on West Winding Oak Trail in Channahon, but everyone inside, including pets, escaped safely. Channahon firefighters, assisted by multiple neighboring departments and local police for traffic control, battled the fully involved blaze early Monday morning. No injuries were reported as crews worked to contain the massive house fire.
