Pit Bull Terrier Bites Joliet Township Mail Carrier
The owner of the dog told police that her animal had never bitten anyone before.

JOLIET TOWNSHIP, IL — A 49-year-old female mail carrier was bitten by a pit bull terrier early last week.
The mail carrier stopped at a home in the 600 block of Miami Avenue Sept. 13 to deliver the mail and was speaking to the resident when the resident’s one-year-old female dog broke off the collar and bit the mail carrier in her arm. The dog immediately released her, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office.
The mail carrier was taken to Silver Cross Hospital for evaluation. The owner of the dog told police that her animal had never bitten anyone before.
