Sex Assault of 8-Year-old Gets Man 24 Years in Prison
The Cicero man had pleaded guilty in Will County court.

A Cicero man was sentenced to 24 years in prison for the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl.
Aaron Rios-Salazar, 61, had pleaded guilty in March to the predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. Rios-Salazar took the plea without a deal in place. He faced a sentence of up to 60 years in prison.

Rios-Salazar was charged in 2010 but “fled to Mexico for several years while the case was pending,” according to a statement released by Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow’s office. “He was arrested on a warrant in 2014 after returning to the United States.”
The case was investigated by the Plainfield police.
