Man Sexually Assaulted Woman He Met On Dating App: Grundy Sheriff
The Minooka woman met Paul Cadena, 51, through an online dating app, and he assaulted her inside her house, Grundy County police said.

MINOOKA, IL — A nine-month-long sexual assault investigation in Minooka led to the arrest of 51-year-old Paul Cadena of Harwood Heights, Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley announced on Friday morning.
Last June, a 49-year-old Minooka woman notified the Joliet Police Department that she was sexually assaulted inside her home, Grundy County police said.
When Joliet police learned the crime happened outside their jurisdiction, the investigation was sent to the Grundy County Sheriff's Office.

Downtown Joliet criminal defense lawyer Neil Patel told Joliet Patch that he has been representing Cadena since these allegations were made against his client last summer.
"It's unfortunate that the charges have been filed, and we're looking forward to defending these allegations in court," Patel remarked Friday afternoon.

Patel said the case will be prosecuted in Morris at the Grundy County Courthouse.
Grundy County investigators said the woman met Cadena through an online dating app, and the two communicated several times through the app and on social media for about a month.
When they agreed to go on a date, the victim provided Cadena with her address in Minooka, and Cadena drove to her house and asked to use her bathroom, authorities said.
"And that's when the sexual assault took place," the sheriff's office declared.
On Wednesday, Grundy County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Paul Clampitt testified in front of a grand jury and a warrant was issued for Cadena's arrest on charges of criminal sexual assault.
On Thursday, the Chicago Police Department arrested Cadena and Grundy County sheriff's officials are trying to bring him back to Morris where his bail has been set at $250,000.
