Spring into Action: Community Cleanup Day Brings Neighbors Together

Last year was a real hit. Were you one of the 50 or so volunteers who picked up a portion of the few tons of garbage that were removed from parks, wooded areas, ditches, etc.?

If not, don't fret. Community Clean Up Day will return on April 25, 2026, and once again see neighbors come together in a wonderful manifestation of local pride and stewardship. In years past, volunteers are armed with all the gloves, grabbers, and other tools necessary, courtesy of Grainger—thanks, Grainger! Armed with these tools, our mighty group of students, Girl Scouts, retirees, and other motivated residents descend on some of the areas most prone to litter accumulation. That's not all; after picking up trash and a thorough hand wash, volunteers are welcome to stay a little while longer to enjoy pizza and soft drinks in the Village Hall community room.
