Get out there and have fun.

Sunday is Easter. For those of you who celebrate the holiday, who might have missed the Channahon Park District egg hunt, you are not out of luck. Locally, you have the hunt at the . From 11 a.m. to noon, you can register for the hunt, which not only has all ages, but has peanut-free catagories. I think that's kinda awesome. They also will have more than 7,000 eggs.

A little bit further away, at Goold Park (which is across from Morris Community High School), the hunting for eggs will begin at 10:30 a.m. April 7. The event is a Morris Lions Club activity.

The Morris Lions Club will again sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt for Morris children at Goold Park, east of Union Street (across from Morris Community High School), at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 7. Ages for the hunt are from 2 to 10 years old.

Give a Little Bit

I think you can tell, even from a quick glance at the Channahon-Minooka site that I went to and volunteered at the St. Baldrick's event in Channahon on March 31. If you did not make it out, it is not too late to help the cause. From now until April 15, if you visit the or Morris, at 88 Gore Road, with a voucher, 10 percent of your meal will benefit St. Baldrick's.

And, lastly, today is the last day to view the surplus items the is selling. Sealed bids must be submitted by 2 p.m., today. More info can be found on the Park District Web site.
