Young Man Dies In Wilmington Township Crash

Funeral arrangements are pending, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

A young man from Peotone died over the weekend after crashing his car in Wilmington Township. The Will County Coroner's Office announced that Emery Pearson, 23, was pronounced dead around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Pearson died of multiple injuries after his car left the roadway and overturned near the intersection of 216th Avenue and Baltimore Street, coroner's officials said.

The Will County Sheriff's Department is investigating the fatality.
