1 Hurt In Expressway Shooting On I-57: Police
The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries and the area was subject to traffic disruptions for about two hours, according to police.
CHICAGO, IL — A person was injured in connection with an expressway shooting while traveling on Interstate 57 in the far South Side of Chicago, according to police.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday on the northbound interstate near Halsted Street, state police said. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries, according to police.
The ramp from Halsted Street to northbound I-57 was closed while authorities investigated, but all lanes were open as of about 7 a.m., police said.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any knowledge of the incident is asked to call state police at 847-294-4400 or email ISP.CrimeTips@Illinois.gov. Witnesses may remain anonymous, police said.
