13 Small Towns Worth Visiting Near Chicago: Curbed Chicago
Curbed Chicago highlighted 13 small towns near Chicago worth a visit. Several Wisconsin towns and three suburbs made the list.

As the summer winds down, you may be looking to get in one last trip. Thankfully, there are plenty of amazing options in the suburbs and within driving distance worth checking out and this past, Curbed Chicago highlighted 13 such towns.
Most of the top towns on Curbed Chicago’s “13 Small Towns Near Chicago That you Need to Visit” list were in Wisconsin, including the Door County towns of Ephraim and Sister Bay, Devils Lake and Kettle Morraine.

But three of the towns were in the suburbs: Geneva, Woodstock and Long Grove.
Curbed Chicago lauded Geneva for its historic downtown and pointed to the Fabyan Windmill as an attraction worth checking out. Woodstock, “picturesque little American town,” came in at No. 8 on Curbed Chicago’s list. Long Grove was chosen as a town worth visiting for its “”central downtown area complete with a collection of historic buildings that have been turned into a stretch of shopping and dining spots, according to Curbed Chicago.
