CHICAGO — Three Chicago police officers were injured after two law enforcement vehicles collided over the weekend on the city's Southwest Side, authorities said.

The incident occurred Saturday, shortly before midnight, in the 3900 block of West Cermak Road, according to police.

"Two marked police vehicles were responding to a call for service when they were involved in an auto accident with each other at an intersection near the above location," police said in an incident notification.
