5 Fun Things to Do in Chicago This Weekend: August 19-21

Air and Water Show: There will be no shortage of great vantage points for one of the city’s hottest yearly festivals. The show will thrill fans on the lakefront from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Community Festivals: The Festa Italiana takes shape at Taylor and Ashland. The Albany Park World Fest celebrates diversity in the North Side’s most “melting pot” neighborhood and and the South Shore Festival will be fun at the South Shore Cultural Center. Edison Park Fest also celebrates life on the Northwest Side of the city.

SNL Alum at Laugh Factory: Finesse Mitchell will headline Laugh Factory Chicago, 3175 N. Broadway on Friday night.

Pearl Jam at Wrigley Field: The 1990s favorite band will thrill fans at the Cubs’ home park Saturday night, with another show planned for Monday.

Sweet Home Chicago Author Event: The 2016 Sweet Home Chicago Author Event is a multi-author signing event featuring indie and traditionally published authors that will take place on Saturday, according to an Eventbrite. Tickets are between $15 and $30.
