CHICAGO, IL - Across the nation, every town has their own unique way of celebrating the Fourth of July. Here's a look at a few of our favorites near Chicago.

Lawn Mower Parade - Crestwood, IL: South suburban Crestwood gives us possibly the quirkiest celebration in the region with their annual lawn mower parade.

'Inspired By Diversity' - Evanston, IL: Fourth of July parades often take on unique themes. In north suburban Evanston, this year's theme - "Inspired by Diversity" - is reflective of the city's values.

Golf Cart Parade - Long Beach, IN: One of the best traditions for Chicagoans with summer homes along Lake Michigan in Indiana is the golf cart parade in Long Beach. Kids and families decorate the golf carts - and sometimes themselves - in a fun morning event. Capping it off with fireworks on the beach makes Long Beach the place to be on the 4th.

Rib Fest - Naperville, IL: Back in Illinois, one of the most popular 4th of July weekend events is the Rib Fest in Naperville. This year, Pitbull is the headliner.
