50th Anniversary Show of Excellence in Miniature Art

A visually stunning event attracting hundreds of people of all ages who are looking to see or display the best in miniature scupture.

From October 17-18, 2025 - The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg Hotel will host an extensive display of miniature sculptures, a vendor area, auction, and educational “how to” sessions presented by The Military Miniature Society of Illinois at their 50th annual show.

This visually stunning event attracts hundreds of people of all ages from all over the USA and internationally who are interested in viewing and creating miniature artwork like the many pieces that will be on display. The non-profit MMSI’s annual event at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg Hotel (50 Martingale Road in Schaumburg, Illinois 60173), will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday October 18 (and 3-8 p.m. on Friday October 17). Adult admission is $10 per person, and is free for children under 12 or active military providing proper identification.

Considered as one of the top-level exhibitions of painted miniature sculptures in the world, visitors will see many examples of this broad and diverse art form of realistic sculpted and painted miniatures which range in size from under one inch to over twelve inches high. The artists’ work represents a wide range of historical periods from ancient to modern times and includes military, sports, science fiction, movies, fantasy and other subjects. Those submitting their work for competition will be ranging from youngsters and adult amateur hobbyists through world renowned professional artists whose work may be painted from commercially available kits, conversions, or original sculptures.
