Air Quality Alert Issued for Chicago Wednesday

Ozone levels may be dangerous for older adults and children: EPA.

CHICAGO, IL - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued an orange alert for Chicago for Wednesday, August 3.

The orange alert signifies the ozone is suspected to be unhealthy for "sensitive groups" like older adults, children and those with lung and heart diseases. The EPA announced the heightened alert through an AirNow environmental news flash.
