OAK BROOK, IL — A Chicago woman has been charged with three counts of attempted armed robbery in connection with last week's fatal shooting at Oakbrook Center, authorities announced Monday.
Chance Jamerson, 29, faces three Class 1 felony counts, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin and Oak Brook Police Chief Brian Strockis said in a joint announcement.
Jamerson is expected to appear in First Appearance Court later this week. Authorities did not describe her alleged actions or release additional details about the charges.

The state's attorney's office and police department plan to hold a joint press conference following her court appearance.
"No further information can be released at this time," the announcement said.
The charges follow the Sept. 30 shooting that killed Justin Hill, 28, of Dolton, and wounded a woman outside the L.L.Bean store at the shopping center.
Investigators previously said two vehicles carrying five people met in the parking lot before an altercation led to gunfire. One vehicle remained at the mall, while the other left and was located in nearby Oakbrook Terrace.
As Patch reported Friday, three people taken into custody following the shooting were released Thursday night without charges after investigators reviewed the evidence with prosecutors.
Monday's announcement did not say whether Jamerson was among those three people. Police said Friday that the wounded woman remained hospitalized.
The shopping center remained open following the shooting, which authorities initially described as an isolated incident with no immediate threat.
Jamerson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
