CHICAGO — After three years in the Windy City, it appears wide receiver DJ Moore is on his way out of Chicago following a trade between the Bears and Buffalo Bills. The move, which reportedly includes draft picks, comes as the teams prepare for next month's NFL Draft.

According to its sources, the NFL Network said Thursday morning Moore and a fifth-round pick are being shipped to Buffalo for a second-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which takes place from April 23 through April 25 in Pittsburgh.

The trade will not become official until the NFL's new league year begins on March 11.

All trades can become official when the new league year begins next Wednesday.

Moore had hinted on his Instagram account on Wednesday that a move may be in the works in a post of him and his daughter outside their home, both appearing to stare off into the sunset while the song, "If This Is Goodbye" played.

Moore's first year with the Bears in 2023, in which the 28-year-old had career highs in receiving yards (1,364 yards) and receiving touchdowns (eight), his production has dipped the last two seasons. In 2025, Moore posted the lowest number of receptions and receiving yards (50 catches, 682 yards) of his eight-year career.

Moore played all 17 regular season games and two postseason contests for Chicago.

Despite the drop in numbers for the former first-rounder (pick No. 24 by the Carolina Panthers in the 2018 NFL Draft), Moore could bounce back with a change of scenery in Western New York.

"A pick swap that gives Chicago extra draft ammo and Buffalo a new top receiver," Tom Pelissero,of the NFL Network, said on X.
