Blackhawks Suspend Player Accused of 'Revenge Porn'
Garret Ross - who is accused of sharing an explicit video of a teammate's ex-girlfriend - has been suspended indefinitely.

CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Blackhawks have suspended Garret Ross - the minor league player accused in a “revenge porn” case involving a woman from Sycamore - indefinitely pending the outcome of the legal matter.
Ross, who was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2012 and plays for the team’s AHL affiliate the Rockford IceHogs, was charged with a felony last month after being accused of sharing sexually graphic images of the woman in a text conversation that included an IceHog teammate who was also investigated but not charged.
“The Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs learned of a legal proceeding against IceHogs player Garret Ross. At that time, we excused Garret from team activities pending our preliminary review of the matter,” the Blackhawks wrote in a team statement posted on their website shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

“After further review, we have determined to suspend Garret indefinitely pending the outcome of the legal process. Because this is a pending legal proceeding, we will have no further comment at this time.”
The woman whose sexual images were shared by Ross was the girlfriend of Ross’ teammate. Both the teammate and Ross were confronted by their girlfriends for contacting other women via the Tinder app and the sexual image was allegedly shared during a text argument between Ross and the other player’s ex-girlfriend.
