Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate Food Items to Local Food Bank

Students held food drives to benefit local community members in need

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in the Chicago area - including Bartlett, Lisle, Naperville, Oswego, Shorewood, Westmont and Wheaton - recently partnered to donate more than 500 food items to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, which provides nutritious food and resources for local community members, with dignity, equity and convenience, through partnerships and innovation. Throughout November and December, students from seven schools worked together to collect nonperishable food items, including cereal, canned foods, peanut butter, coffee and more. Following the donation, students packaged the food items for delivery to the organization, which distributed them to families in need during the holiday season. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to their communities.
