Chicago Bears 2017 Schedule: Who Will They Play This NFL Season?
PLUS: Find out when single-game tickets for the upcoming season go on sale.

CHICAGO, IL — The Mike Glennon era for Chicago begins at Soldier Field as the Bears' probable starting quarterback will go up against a team with something to prove in the 2017 NFL season: the Atlanta Falcons, the defending NFC champions who will be playing their first regular season game since their Super Bowl collapse against the New England Patriots in February. That's just one of the takeaways for Bears fans in the league's new schedule for the upcoming season, which was revealed Thursday. Although the NFL's official announcement concerning the lineup of games was made during a special on the NFL Network, some news outlets posted leaked schedules early.

Of course, the first thing any self-respecting Bears fan does with any new season schedule is circle the games against the Green Bay Packers. In 2017, Chicago first faces Green Bay on Sept. 28 at Lambeau Field in a Thursday night game. The Packers then travel to Soldier Field on Nov. 12.

Along with the Thursday night contest against Green Bay, Chicago also plays a pair of other non-Sunday games, both at Soldier Field and both against NFC North opponents. The Bears will face the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 9 for their only "Monday Night Football" appearance of the season. And they take on the Detroit Lions on Dec. 16 in a Saturday night matchup. Chicago also plays on two Sunday-landing holidays: Christmas Eve (at home against the Cleveland Browns) and New Year's Eve (away against the Vikings).

Finally, the Bears second game of the season, Sept. 17, will be a matchup that will probably have some added importance for Glennon, Chicago's likely successor to former Bears QB Jay Cutler. That's when he will face his old team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Glennon started his NFL career with the Bucs in 2013 and had been with the team as a backup QB until the Bears signed the free agent to a three-year, $45 million deal this offseason.
Single-game tickets for the season go on sale at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, through Ticketmaster, according to the Bears' website. Ticketmaster sales are by phone — at 800-745-3000 — or online at ticketmaster.com.
