As car and catalytic converter thefts spike in Chicago, the CPD and Cook County Sheriff's Department have teamed up to help curb auto theft by offering steering wheel locks, tracking registration and information on securing property and deterring thieves. 2) Mayor Lori Lightfoot campaign's email to CPS teachers to be probed by Chicago Inspector General. "The Board of Ethics confirmed yesterday that a complaint filed against the Lightfoot campaign has been referred for investigation to the Chicago Inspector General's office." The alleged ethics violation stems from an email sent by her deputy campaign manager to CPS teachers asking for student volunteers to help with reelection efforts in return for credit. (ABC 7)

3) Construction begins on new thrill attraction at Navy Pier. Construction has begun on a 48,000-square-foot space at Navy Pier that will house a new flight attraction called FlyOver. The ride uses a 65-foot wraparound screen and a moving platform with six degrees of motion to simulate the feeling of flying as riders sit suspended above ground. (NBC 5)

4) 'Chicago the Musical' singer Christina Wells proves it's never too late to pursue your dream. Christina Wells waited until her 40s to pursue her dream of singing professionally. She went from being a registered nurse to a 2018 top finalist on "America's Got Talent." Now, she plays Matron "Mama" Morton in the National Touring Production of "Chicago the Musical." (NBC 5)

5) Thousands of letters—some sent from Chicago almost two centuries ago—up for auction. The collection, owned by 82-year-old Leonard Piszkiewicz, who grew up in Logan Square and Jefferson Park, will be auctioned off March 28. About 200 items will be sold individually, with the rest divided into groups. Minimum starting bids are expected to range from $50 to several thousand dollars. (Chicago Sun-Times)
