Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament Continues At Cicero Stadium

CICERO, IL - The Chicago Golden Gloves boxing tournament is underway at Cicero Stadium, 1909 S. Laramie Ave. in Cicero. The preliminary rounds in five divisions began at the venue Wednesday night.

Here's the full schedule for the tournament, which features amateur boxers in the novice, senior novice, open, master and female divisions.

• Prelims: March 6, March 7, March 8, March 9: 7 p.m.
• Quarterfinals: March 14, 15 & 16: 7 p.m.
• Semifinals: March 21, 22, 23: 7 p.m.
• Finals: April 11, 12, 13: 8 p.m.

Tickets are $15 during the prelims, then costs rise to $20 for the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Get tickets here.

The tournament is an 80-year-old tradition in the city that has featured the likes of Muhammad Ali, Sonny Liston and Joe Louis in the past.
