Chicago Principal Brian Kelly Awarded Golden Apple for Excellence
Brian Kelly, Principal at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. College Prep High School, received the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Leadership
Help us spread the word about this amazing principal from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. College Prep High School — Congratulations to Brian Kelly, who was honored with the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Leadership. He is one of two principals selected from more than 100 nominations of Pre-K-12th grade school leaders.
As part of the honor, he will receive a cash award of $10,000, with $5,000 for himself and $5,000 to the school for a project of the recipient’s choice. He will also become a Fellow of the Golden Apple Academy of Educators, working to prepare the next generation of teachers in the Golden Apple Scholars and Accelerators programs, which are dedicated to addressing the teacher shortage in Illinois.
