Chicagoland Halloween Costume Experts Predict Top Trends Of 2018
A local family-owned company has had a pulse on the costume industry for more than four decades.

CHICAGO — The Chicago Costume Company has released its official predictions for the top local costumes of 2018. The family-owned Illinois business has observed local costume trends for more than 40 years, and owners are gearing up for what's expected to be a busy Halloween season.
Americans are expected to spend $3.2 billion on costumes this year, according to the National Retail Federation. Chicago Costume predicts the top dollars will be going to Black Panther, scary characters and unicorns.
Chicago Costume has locations in Lincoln Park (1120 West Fulleron) and Portage Park (4727 West Montrose). The company has also opened a seasonal pop-up shop at 24 E. Randolph St. this year.
