CJE SeniorLife’s annual benefit raised $780,000+ to support vital programs and services for older adults and their families in greater metropolitan Chicago

On Sunday evening, September 8, CJE SeniorLife brought the house down at their 14th annual fundraising event, Celebrate CJE, a night of celebrating the organization’s 45-plus years of rich history. The nationally-recognized and progressive health and human services organization serves more than 20,000 older adults and their families in metropolitan Chicago each year. With 500 attendees, the annual dinner and reception at Palmer House Hilton raised more than $780,000 for the organization.

Celebrate CJE helps sustain life enrichment programs, supportive resources, healthcare, research and education for older adults and their families throughout Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. The dinner and program highlighted the organization’s innovative, comprehensive network that includes affordable housing, assisted living, Alzheimer’s care, Parkinson’s programming, adult day services, creative arts therapies, counseling, as well as healthy aging and wellness programs in the community.

Evening highlights included remarks from CJE’s President and CEO Dan Fagin, testimonials from the family member of a client residing at Lieberman Center for Health and Rehabilitation, and a video featuring CJE’s clientele and programming. A riveting musical performance by guest artist and award-winning actor and concert pianist Hershey Felder capped off the celebration.

“Celebrate CJE was a huge success. It was a memorable evening where we celebrated our ongoing mission to help older adults age with respect and grace,” said Vicki Pines, who is an event co-chair along with fellow Board member Susan Ringel Segal. “We’re so thankful to all our donors and to all who attended this fun and meaningful event. The funds raised will give CJE the support needed to continue current programs and services, and the opportunity to create new, engaging programs for seniors and their families.”
