David Ross Channels Channing Tatum In 'Magic Mike'-Inspired 'DWTS' Routine
But Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo was "a bit horrified" by his ex-teammate's revealing performance Monday.

Did former Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross make a mistake by pursuing professional baseball for 14 years and depriving the dance world of a bright and shining star? Two performances into the current season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" seems to suggest that.
Ross and partner Lindsay Arnold impressed judges on the TV dance competition show again Monday, this time with a "Magic Mike"-inspired routine choreographed to 50 Cent's "Candy Shop." The 40-year-old Ross even capped it off by baring red-sequin boxers and his shapely six-pack abs … T-shirt.
While the judges liked what they saw — Ross' score Monday night was more than enough to ensure he won't be bounced from the show just yet — former Cubs teammate Anthony Rizzo didn't feel the same way. In fact, "terror" would be the word that best summed up his reaction to watching the performance.

Speechless... and a bit horrified. @DancingABC @D_Ross3

It's not clear if it was Ross' dancing, his cut physique or the combination of the two that upset Rizzo the most. Ross got a chuckle out of Rizzo's tweet, which was displayed during the broadcast.

In fact, with that tweet, Rizzo has become an unofficial special guest star on "Dancing With the Stars," previously wishing Ross good luck in a brief taped segment during the first show of this season. At this rate, how much longer until Rizzo replaces Arnold as Ross' partner? Maybe Cubs manager Joe Maddon will give the All-Star first baseman the time off in the newly started 2017 season.

Ross did continue a recent trend of former Chicago professional athletes exposing more than most fans expect. At least Grandpa Rossy was little more modest than former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.
