'Drunk/High' Man Causes Flight To Return To O'Hare: Report

A plane was forced to turn around just before takeoff, according to a report.

CHICAGO, IL — United Airlines had to turn around one of its planes at O'Hare before takeoff to remove a man who was reportedly intoxicated, according to a social media report. A passenger tweeted about the incident Wednesday morning, and called United's handling of the situation "text book" crisis management. The man who was removed from the flight was "high/drunk," according to the tweet.

The passenger who reported the incident said he was on flight UA5360 from Chicago to Tucson, which was delayed by 51 mins.

Patch has reached out to United for comment, but the airline has not confirmed the incident. United Airlines did reply to the passenger on Twitter, saying, "We're glad our crew members responded properly and were able to keep all passengers safe."
