Farbman Group to Host Opportunity Zones Educational Event

NORTHBROOK, Ill., July 26, 2019 — Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, announced today it will host an open-to-the-public educational C-Series event about opportunity zones event on Wednesday, August 21 at 9 a.m. The event will be held at 40 Skokie Blvd in Northbrook, a designated opportunity zone. Farbman Group CEO Andrew V. Farbman made the announcement.

Partners of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly), a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, will serve as the keynote speakers for the event, which is part of the Southfield, Michigan-based company’s C-Series events across the Midwest. They will discuss the nuances of opportunity zones and how they affect the real estate industry.

“Opportunity zones encourage investments in communities across the countries, but we have recognized a need to share more information about these areas since they have been brought to the forefront of the real estate industry since 2017 with the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,” Farbman said. “It is critical for us to provide educational resources to our clients on issues impacting the industry today.
