Frost Advisory Issued for Chicago Area Overnight

The frost advisory will be in effect from 2 to 9 a.m. Friday for the Chicago area.

A frost advisory has been issued for the Chicago area from 2 to 9 a.m. Friday.

Counties in the advisory area include Lake, McHenry, Kane, DuPage, Will and Kendall counties, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will reach a low of 31 to 36 degrees.

Residents are reminded to bring in their outdoor plants and vegetation that may be killed in these conditions if left uncovered.

Temps should warm during the day Friday and reach a high in the mid-60s for the Chicago area. Temperatures in the 70s are expected for Saturday through Tuesday.
