High Winds Cause Over 200 Flight Cancellations At O'Hare
O'Hare International Airport has warned passengers of inbound and outbound delays averaging 40 minutes.

CHICAGO, IL — Weather conditions have caused many flight delays and cancellations at Midway and O'Hare, according to officials from both airports. O'Hare International Airport sent out a tweet Monday afternoon warning passengers of inbound and outbound flight delays averaging 40 minutes. The tweet also warned of more than 200 flight cancellations.
Inbound and outbound delays have averaged about 15 minutes at Midway, officials said. Officials from both airports warned travelers to check their flight status with their carrier.
The Northeastern Illinois area is under a wind advisory from the National Weather Service, lasting from Monday afternoon through the evening. The affected area will stretch from central northern Illinois, east to Lake Michigan and south covering Chicago and surrounding areas.
