Holiday Cheer Comes to Deer Park Town Center

Lifestyle center to become the community's holiday headquarters with free events, special promotions, and festive seasonal offerings

Deer Park Town Center announced today it’s gearing up for the holiday season with a festive lineup of free family-friendly events, including the return of community favorites like Santa’s Arrival & Fireworks and Stuff a Squad Car. The center will once again serve as the community’s go-to holiday destination for all things shopping, dining, entertainment and seasonal fun.

“Deer Park Town Center is proud to be a place where families can celebrate the season together,” said Angelika Fejklowicz, marketing manager at Deer Park Town Center. “From festive shopping and dining to special events and charitable activities, we’re excited to offer experiences that bring joy, connection and the spirit of the holidays to our community.”

  • Toys for Tots - Now through December 5 in Center Office, Suite 133

Deer Park Town Center will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for its Toys for Tots drive. Donations for children of all ages are welcome and can be dropped off at the Center Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Santa’s Arrival & Fireworks - Sat., Nov. 15 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. near Traffic Circle

Kick off the holiday season with Santa’s arrival as he lights up the center, capped off with a festive fireworks show, sponsored by The Village of Deer Park!

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a special performance by Those Funny Little People. Following this, the fireworks show will begin at 6:30 p.m., featuring a finale that honors local veterans. Santa will arrive in the Lake Zurich fire truck after the performance, and be available for visits and free photos until 8:30 p.m.

While supplies last, children visiting Santa will receive a free pouch of magical reindeer food. One photo per family with a personal camera is permitted, and the photo line may close before 8:30 p.m. A photographer will also be on-site, with event photos posted to Deer Park Town Center’s Facebook page within 72 hours.

Stand out and help light the way for Santa with holiday-themed light-up necklaces, hats and wands, available for purchase at Glow Zone mobile carts. Guests can also enjoy hot funnel cakes, hot chocolate and more from My Funnel Truck, along with gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and seasonal soups from Hippie Gourmet Grilled Cheese.

  • Black Friday - Fri., Nov. 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Shop the biggest Black Friday savings at Deer Park Town Center’s newest stores—American Eagle and Warby Parker—alongside longtime favorites, sponsored by The Village of Deer Park!

Beginning at 10:00 a.m., guests will enjoy the sights and sounds of the strolling Merry Maskers Carolers, performing holiday classics in festive "Dickens”-style costumes..

Guests will also receive one free order of mini donuts from My Mama’s Mini Donuts starting at 10:00 a.m. (one per person, while supplies last). The food truck, located near Banana Republic and Warby Parker, will offer hot and fresh mini donuts, coffee, hot chocolate and cider for purchase. Select store, restaurant and theater hours may vary.   • Crafts with Santa & Mrs. Claus - Select Tuesdays: Dec. 2 & 9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Families are invited to enjoy a festive crafting experience with special visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus!

All craft materials will be provided during this free event for children ages 3-7, and parent participation is encouraged. Space is limited and registration is required. One ticket per child. Please indicate the number of adults attending. Visit the website for more details.

  • Stuff a Squad Car - Sat., Dec. 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Deer Park Town Center and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office will team up to host a public drop off “Stuff A Squad Car” event to collect donations for Toys For Tots. The Lake County Sheriff’s squad car will be located near Noodles & Company, where guests can drop off new and unwrapped toys and place their donations into the squad car.

  • Story Time with Mrs. Claus - Select Sundays: Dec. 14 & 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. inside Barnes & Noble

Bring the little ones for a special story time with Mrs. Claus as she reads stories and spreads holiday cheer.

  • Holiday Choir Performances & Strolling Entertainers - Select dates in December

While shopping for the holidays, enjoy the sounds of the season with performances by local school choirs and strolling entertainers throughout the center. Visit the website for the full schedule and details.
