House of Blues, Aragon Ballroom Sponsored by RCN Chicago

North Side-based cable company will sponsor two of the city's most popular entertainment venues.

CHICAGO, IL - Cable company RCN Chicago, which serves residences and businesses on the North Side of Chicago, Skokie and Lincolnwood, announced Wednesday it will sponsor two of Chicago’s most popular and historic entertainment venues.

The high-speed Internet, digital TV and phone service company will sponsor the Aragon Ballroom in Uptown and the House of Blues downtown.

RCN announced last year that it had substantially increased Internet speeds for residential service to 155 Mbps, amongst the fastest in Chicago. PCMag readers ranked the company the best in Consumer Recommended ISP in 2015.

The Aragon Ballroom has been a longtime host of entertainment events, dating back to the days of Al Capone, who was a regular attendee of the nearby Green Mill Cocktail Lounge.

The House of Blues, which opened 20 years ago, has offered offers live music with a focus on rhythm and blues.
