2) Bars in River North, Archer Heights close after 1 killed, 8 hurt in weekend shootings. Summary closures were issued by Chicago Police for Hush Bar in River North and Bar 171 on Chicago's Southwest Side following Sunday's shootings. At Hush Bar, a shootout began between a group and a security guard. One man died and three others were injured. Five people were shot outside Bar 171.

3) NASCAR announces ticket sale date for first-ever Chicago Street Race Weekend. General admission tickets for the first-ever street race in the NASCAR Cup Series will go on sale tomorrow and start at $269. The 12-turn, 2.2-mile street race along Chicago's lakefront will take place July 1-2, 2023.

4) Sean 'Diddy' Combs could be new owner of Jefferson Park dispensary. A proposed investment would make Diddy owner of the biggest Black-owned cannabis company in the world. If the deal goes through, Combs would own Cannabist, 4758 N. Milwaukee Ave., as well as a dispensary in Villa Park, an Aurora production facility and stores in New York and Massachusetts.

5) Chicago's solar-powered community fridge puts down sustainable roots in Englewood. Love Fridge has 26 fridges across Chicago that are accessible 24/7 and offer free and fresh food to locals in need. The Englewood location is the first in the Midwest to be powered exclusively by solar panels. The panels have enough energy at all times to power the fridge for days, even without access to the sun.
