Interview with Yosef Meystel, President of Aperion Care

Speaking in this interview is Yosef Meystel, current President of Aperion Care. Meystel is one of the most recognized names in the holistic care sector, as he has 15 years worth of experience with other sounding names. He has successfully managed other institutions specialized in elderly care and managed Aperion Care for quite some time now. This company has a different approach on the entire matter, as they tend to open residential buildings in multiple locations so that they can satisfy the needs of many elders in the state of Illinois.

• There is an announcement on social networks and the media about the opening of Aperion's new residence, what will actually represent this residence?

In October, a new center with a holistic approach to living and caring for adults will be in operation in Illinois. Just as the name itself refers to a residential building, built on all standards regulated by the legislation in Illinois, it is also an object that has fully respected all American standards. All this, combined with one of the most beautiful locations where the residence is located, near the center of Amboy in the Lee County, will provide a nice and dignified life for people of old age.

• What can elders expect at this residence, if they decide to spend their retirement days there?

From a technical point of view, the residence offers a luxurious exterior and interior, maximally accessible and suited for comfortable operation, even for clients who have physical difficulties. The concept is based on hotel accommodation, but it is also fully equipped with medical equipment and aids, for tenants who will need such help. The building is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped courtyard with greenery, beautiful surroundings for beautiful walks and picnics, yet very close to the city center. From the aspect of the interior life of the residence, our clients can fully satisfied with their care, personalized according to the needs of each client. The care is provided by trained staff, that is, a team composed of medical personnel, caregivers, social workers, psychologists and physiotherapists. But, all of this should exist in every such institution, so we will pay great attention to our social life in our home. An exceptionally rich program of activities has been prepared, in which not only the tenants, but also their family can be involved.

• What is the capacity of the Aperion residence?

The newest Aperion Residence has the capacity for accommodating 200 people.

• What will Aperion differ from the other adult centers?

I, Yosef Meystel, have personally worked on modeling this residence by the highly acclaimed model of Swedish centers. The main emphasis is given to a richly devised social life, with activities that will satisfy and beautify our customer’s lives. A fitness instructor, a yoga instructor, zumba classes, picnic, a theater, thematic parties… are only part of a large range of activities. Innovation also applies in the area of psycho-social support. Before deciding to join our family in the residence, clients have the opportunity to meet and get to know some of the staff in our homes. Family members, if need be, can meet with our staff members. A personal assistant will also be available to the clients, providing full-day assistance in cases if the client wants to go shopping, visit the family, etc. And when we consider all the performances of this center, starting from the very appearance of the object, dedicated and well-trained personnel, an innovative program, all this packaged at a really affordable price… the residence of Aperion will really differ from most of these centers in the state.

• In your personal opinion Yosef, is there interest for the service that you are offering?

Although the campaign is not yet at full speed, for now the interest is quite high. There are potential clients, who are mostly interested in the rich program of social life, which is especially reluctant to us.

• What are the benefits from living in a center like Aperion?

Old age can be beautiful. It's our personal decision and it's up to us whether and how we will pass it. Old age should not mean isolation, solitude and days spent just waiting to see or hear your loved ones. The age should be a long-awaited period in which we will do everything that we could not previously, because of obligations with family, children, career ... When preparing the program for the center, we have based it on our personal expectations of elderly care, when one day and we ourselves will be in such a residence. In this residence, the priority is placed on the individual’s desires and needs. Their lives will be filled with care, love, companionship and laughter. It is a life benefit, which this center will provide.

• When are you expecting the first tenants in a residence?

We expect the first tenants in late October, before the end of preparations for their welcome. For the first 10 tenants, an additional promotional package is prepared, which is quite attractive and interesting. Our team is ready and we look forward to our tenants for mutual friendship.
