The late 1960s “Summer of Love” will live on forever…thanks to The Happy Together Tour.

On tonight’s Jam’ n Java online…#1 Hypeddit Recording artist, Robby Robinson of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, will pull back the stage curtain, and give you a rare behind the scenes experience at The Happy Together Tour, one of the longest-running celebrations of peace, love, rock-n-roll and sunshine pop ever assembled.

The Happy Together Tour concept was originally conceived by Howard Kaylan, and the late Mark Volman, of The Turtles, Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention, and The Phlorescent Leech and Eddie.

From the carefree sunshine pop sounds of "Happy Together" as The Turtles to the deep, cutting-edge, progressive, experimental rock sounds of “Feel Older Now”, featuring one of the most unforgettable hard rock screams ever etched into vinyl, Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan’s musical partnership was ground-breaking and genre-defying…yet always rooted in the spirit of peace, love and music.

Peace, love and music is the foundation of The Happy Together Tour and our world needs a lot more of all three.

The Happy Together Tour has been evoking musical memories for six decades, two centuries, and two Millenniums, while flipping the musical switch, turning on younger generations of fans year after year!

The spirit of Mark Volman is clearly evident in every stellar performance, as his musical “family” carries on his legacy and commitment to keeping the peace, love and music of the 1960s alive! Howard Kaylan is presently retired from touring due to health issues, but he is always on stage in spirit as well.

This year’s Happy Together Tour is comprised of Gary Puckett, Jason Scheff (formerly of Chicago), Ron Dante (The Archies, The Cufflinks and The Turtles), The Cowsills, The Vogues, The Fortunes, The Troggs and The Association.

“One of the greatest joys of this business isn't just the music...it's the friendships. Last Friday, I had the chance to spend the evening backstage at the 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫, catching up with so many talented friends I've known and admired over the years. There were great conversations, lots of laughs, and enough stories to fill an entire evening-along with some amazing interviews. O WHAT A NIGHT hanging backstage with 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐭, 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐟, 𝐑𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐠𝐬, and more.,” said Robby Robinson. “One of my favorite moments came at the end of the show when the entire cast gathered on stage to sing "𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫." It brought back a wonderful memory for me, because many years ago, I had the opportunity to 𝐬𝐮𝐛 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬' 𝐤𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 on one of their tours, performing that very song night after night with 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐧. Those kinds of full-circle moments are pretty special. On Monday's Jam' n Java, I'll take you BACKSTAGE to share the photos, videos, and the stories behind these memorable moments. The Happy Together Tour displays music royalty at its finest and plays out like a “Who’s Who?” of late 1960s sunshine pop and rock! The amount of talent present on one stage is mind-blowing.

There is entirely too much to be said about these iconic tune weavers, each deserves an article of their own, but for the sake of space, here are some career highlights. Please research these artists on your own and give them all a listen! You will be glad you did!

Gary Puckett skyrocketed to fame as Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, with hit songs such as “Young Girl”, “Woman”, “Over You”, “Lady Willpower” and “This Girl is a Woman Now”. On every record, his illustrious soaring vocal range bordered on operatic.

Jason Scheff is not only a star in his own right, but replaced Peter Cetera, after he departed, Chicago, for a solo career, and fronted the band until 2016. Just look up Chicago’s Greatest Hits…and you’ll have his stellar playlist in the palm of your hands.

Ron Dante, has performed in a multitude of bands, and is best known for “Sugar, Sugar” by the Archies and “Tracy” by The Cufflinks, plus he performed with The Detergents, and was hand-chosen by Mark Volman during his final years to front “The Turtles” and entrusted him with keeping the sounds alive.

The Cowsills, regarded as the inspiration for “The Partridge Family”, lend their rock-solid vocals to their greatest hit songs “The Rain, The Park and Other Things (I Love the Flower Girl)”, “Indian Lake” and “ Hair”, the theme song from the Broadway musical of the same name. Groups who sing and can play their own instruments are refreshingly impressive.

The Vogues are masters of vocal group harmony with hits such as “Turn Around Look at Me”, “You Are My Special Angel”, “Five O’ Clock World” and “You’re the One”. Their pristine, crisp, tight vocals remain unsurpassed.

The Fortunes engage in impressive vocal gymnastics, seasoned with a Mersey Beat quality, as they deliver their greatest hits including “You’ve Got You’re Troubles” and “Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again”.

The Troggs have earned a stellar place in music history for their grunge-infused garage rock sounds. Their hit song “Wild Thing” was named one of “Rolling Stone Magazine's” top 500 songs of all time. A group well ahead of its time, The Troggs have given us a treasure trove of hits including the introspective “Love Us All Around”, as well as “With A Girl Like You” and “Anyway You Want Me”.

The Association is in a league of their own with exquisite and reflective vocal group harmony. This is the group that gave us lavishly orchestrated romantic treasures such as “Cherish” and “Never My Love”, yet demonstrated genre-defying versatility with sunshine pop hits such as “Along Comes Mary”, and the lighthearted “Windy”.
