- Home Run Inn recalls 13,0oo+ lbs. of frozen meat pizzas. Home Run Inn Frozen Foods is recalling approximately 13,099 pounds of frozen meat pizza product that may be contaminated with metal. The pizzas were produced on June 6, 2022, and bear establishment number "EST. 18498-A" inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to a distributor in Illinois and then further distributed to retailers. (USDA)
- One-fifth of Chicago aldermen embrace "The Great Resignation." With six months to go before members of the Chicago City Council face voters again, about a fifth of its 50 incumbents elected in 2019 aren't planning to run for reelection next year. While some departures are part of the natural turnover cycle, some have been open about wanting to leave due to the grueling nature of being an elected official during a pandemic, and the current functioning of the City Council itself.
