Kevin Hart Announces He'll Run Bank Of America Chicago Marathon

"The road to becoming a better me starts today," the star comedian said.

CHICAGO, IL — Actor and comedian Kevin Hart has announced he will be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon this year. The star said his goal is to run five marathons — he completed the TCS New York City Marathon in Central park last year. He will join thousands of runners from around the world — including many other celebrities and star athletes — for this year's race in Chicago.

"Last year I did my first marathon — the New York City Marathon, in like four hours, and I said you know, that's not good enough for me," Hart said in a Facebook video post. "I need to do more, I want more. So I'm running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon."

Hart said his goal is to do his best time.

"The bottom line people — I'm never content, ever. The road to becoming a better me starts today," he said in the Facebook post.

A video board behind Hart then lit up and his kids appeared on a big screen holding signs of support that said, "we love you and your crazy dreams" and "you inspire us every day to chase our dreams."

"We want you to inspire more kids like us to move like you," their message to dad read. Then they reminded him that the race is in two months.

"Yep, daddy's stupid," Hart joked in the video.

The 41st annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon will be held Oct. 7.
