Kyle Schwarber Bobblehead Commemorates Famous Home Run

Only 200 or so Chicago Cubs fans will get to relive the slugger's legendary 2015 home run with this bobblehead.

CHICAGO, IL - Kyle Schwarber is only three seasons into what will likely be a long career in Major League Baseball, but the moments he has already provided fans of the Chicago Cubs will last a lifetime.

Schwarber’s signature moment thus far, a towering home run in the 2015 National League Division Series that helped the Cubs clinch a series win over the arch-rival St. Louis Cardinals, has been made into a bobblehead. One that only a lucky few will have a chance to get their hands on.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee just unveiled a figure portraying Schwarber’s famous swing. It’s complete with a Wrigley Field scoreboard backdrop and the pose Schwarber made after hitting the ball 438 feet and seeing it land on top of the right field scoreboard.

Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the Museum, said only 216 of the bobbleheads will be made and can not be bought anywhere but the Museum’s online store. The product is priced at $40 and was produced exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. It is officially licensed by the Chicago Cubs and MLB.

Schwarber’s hit that inspired the bobblehead gave the Cubs a 6-4 lead in Game 4 of the series against the Cardinals, a game they would go on to win and advance to the National League Championship Series.

The Cubs did not win the NLCS that year, but responded in 2016 with a memorable World Series win that featured Schwarber returning from an injury-filled year to lead the team in hitting in the championship series.
