Lollapalooza 2017: Summer Music Fest Adds More Than 50 Aftershows Around Chicago

CHICAGO, IL — Grant Park might be the main venue for Lollapalooza, Chicago's four-day outdoor summer music festival. But some acts will be taking the fun inside during the annual event's off-hours. More than 50 aftershows will be held around the city during the week of the festival, letting some area clubs host gigs by the Lollapalooza performers.

The 57 Lollapalooza aftershows were announced Tuesday, and they will run six days, from Aug. 1 to 6. The main outdoor festival runs Aug. 3 to 6. Aftershow tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, and many of the shows are offering ticket giveaways. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news for Chicago — or your neighborhood. Although general admission passes for Lollapalooza are sold out, music lovers aren't completely out of luck. Tickets are being offered via a verified and officially approved online exchange.
