Prairie Grass Cafe Introduces Meal Kits

Prairie Grass Cafe (601 Skokie Blvd., 847-205-4433) has introduced the first in an ongoing series of delicious meal kits, available starting this Saturday, May 9, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The first series, Prairie Grass Cafe Grilling Meal Kit, includes dinner for two featuring your choice of Canadian Salmon, Pecan-Lemon Topping ($58), Ancho-Marinated Skirt Steaks ($60), or Prime All-Natural New York Strip Steaks ($98). Each dinner for two comes with first of the season Local Asparagus, “Mighty Vine” Yellow Tomato, Yukon Gold Potatoes and two Chocolate Chip Cookies.

An additional Farmer’s Salad for Two is available for $14. Each dinner has an optional wine selection to accompany each meal, perfectly curated by Rohit Nambiar, partner and wine program director. Wines range in price from $22.50 to $36 per bottle. Prices reflect a 50% discount off the regular menu price.

Prairie Grass Cafe also is offering a Farm Fresh Breakfast Meal Kit featuring Two Breakfast Sausage Patties (raw with a hint of honey), Half Dozen Eggs from Ellis Farm, Two Slices Stuffed Banana Bread French Toast (Cream Cheese Filled Toast, Half Pint of French Toast Batter), and Prairie Grass Cafe Bloody Mary Mix for $37.50 (serves two). Treat yourself to an 8 oz. jar of Ellis Farm Honey for $7.50.
