Reality Star Convicted Of Felony Burglary In Chicago: Authorities

He was sentenced to 244 days in jail with time served after stealing mail from a residential building, authorities said.

CHICAGO — Dylan Smith of “Love After Lockup” was convicted Wednesday of felony burglary after stealing mail from a residential building last year in Chicago, authorities announced Tuesday.

The 35-year-old Chicago man, who appeared on the reality show’s third season, pleaded guilty in Cook County court and was sentenced to 244 days in jail with time served as well as two years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

Smith was arrested June 4, 2024, in connection with a May 2024 burglary of a residential building and subsequent mail theft in which he illegally used a U.S. Postal Service key to access a building’s panel mailbox, the service said.
