St. Bernard Hospital Gala: A Work of Heart

Fundraiser to Support New Ambulatory Care Center in Englewood Community

WHAT: Celebrate A Work of Heart at the St. Bernard Hospital Gala. The Hospital’s highly anticipated event will raise funds for the new three-story, 70,000 square foot Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) which opened its doors to the community in June of this year. In particular, event proceeds will support special equipment needs such as a digital mammography unit and health education programs. The ACC is a one-stop health care facility promoting prevention and wellness and offers a primary care clinic, women’s wellness center, advanced diagnostic imaging, specialty clinics, pharmacy and a full service physical medicine rehabilitation program.

The event will honor Pastor Jolinda Wade, a native of Chicago’s South Side Englewood community, who embodies the healing and compassion that represent the mission of St. Bernard Hospital. Ms. Wade is the mother of NBA superstar Dwayne Wade and will share her inspirational story of moving from drug addiction to leading her own congregation.
