Tornado Watch, Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood Warnings In Illinois
The watch is in effect until midnight.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch, effective until midnight for nine counties: Boone, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, Ogle and Winnebago. The watch includes the City of Chicago.
A flash flood warning is in place for Boone and Winnebago counties until 2:30 a.m. Thursday after thunderstorms producing up to three inches of rain as of just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. A flash flood warning was also in place for Lake and McHenry counties until 3:15 a.m.
The NSW advises, "turn around, don't drown," so if you see a flooded road way, turn back. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. High winds downed tree limbs in Rockford, and streets in Winnebago were flooded with 4 to 6 inches of water, WGN reported.
